Online debate: Is the EU doing enough on AI?

It will take place tomorrow, 23 April, at 12pm, and will have a distinguished group of panellists

The Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the EU and the IDEES newspaper have the pleasure of inviting you to the online debate 'Is the EU doing enough on Artificial Intelligence? Framing Policies, influencing global competition and Future scenarios' on Thursday, April 23 at 12 pm.

How is the EU framing its AI policies? Is the EU equipped to influence the global competition? What are the future scenarios? Our distinguished group of panelists will address these very relevant questions and engage in a timely debate, shortly after the High-Level Expert Group on AI has published its recommendations.

IDEES, the Center for Contemporary Affairs’ magazine, has devoted its issue #48 to Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, as the cutting-edge technology that will shape the world. Within the ambitious endeavor to grasp the spirit of this innovation, IDEES magazine is teaming up with the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the EU to explore the impact it is having at the core of the European Union.

Panellists:

  • Eric Badiqué, Adviser on Artificial Intelligence, European Commission
  • Lorena Jaume-Palasí, Executive Director, The Ethical Tech Society
  • Andrea Renda, Head of Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and the Digital Economy (GRID), CEPS
