The Minister for Governance and Institutional Relations, Meritxell Borràs, held a press conference shortly after the first provisional voter turnout results for the elections to the Parliament of Catalonia were known.
Borràs noted that, at 1pm, the average voter turnout in the four provincial constituencies was 35.12%. 5.7 points higher than the 29.43% turnout registered at the same time during the 2012 elections to the Parliament of Catalonia.
By demarcation
Voter turnout in all four constituencies registered a higher percentage that in the parliamentary elections of 2012. The constituency with the highest turnout is Girona, currently reaching 38.47%.

The Government of Catalonia has also made available to citizens an application for tablets and phones to monitor participation data and results in real time as the day proceeds. The application Eleccions 27S is available in English and up until 1.30pm has been downloaded 41,416 time from 101 different countries.
